It is possible for you to plan your vacation so you need the car in the weekend, you can often save a lot of money. Usually you can find special weekend offers at the car rental agencies.
Long term rental is also a nice way to save some money. Often to can rent a car for a week for the same amount as 4 or 5 days.
Do you want a larger car model? Then ask. And a final advice: prepay the car. It is normally cheaper than if you rent it at arrival in the airport. So find a good price on the Internet and reserve it. Then it is also faster when you arrive in the airport.
